Started well before the current Covid 19 crisis, Actron has completed its new 8000 SQ FT expansion to increase our capacity for large machining capabilities. This fully air-conditioned and renovated facility is now open and features such machines as our HAAS VF-11, VF-9, (2) VF-6 SS’s, our large horizontal HAAS, EC-1600 ZT, our 5-Axis UMC 750, and a VF-4 4-axis. We also have a brand new quality lab with a high precision FARO arm measuring device capable of taking on the larger parts. Actron is very excited to make this announcement and showcase our newest facility.

FDCA Procurement Conference
Actron participated in the 7th annual FDCA procurement Conference, held in Orlando, FL February 11 and 12, 2019. In addition to many opportunities to meet with fellow FDCA members and corporate sponsors such as General Dynamics, Embraer, Northrup Grumman, and Lockheed, we also were privileged to hear from a distinguished panel of experts and congressional delegates about the current and future of defense spending and procurement practices. This panel consisted of such notable congressmen/women as the honorable(s) Mario Diaz-Balart and Debbie Wasserman Schultz with distinguished speakers such as Captain Timothy Hill, Anthony Principi, Bruce Grant, and Chris Harrington. Following the speeches and presentations, the small business/large prime match making sessions were held, giving small business the opportunity to learn who to contact and what steps are necessary to do business with various prime contractors.
Actron Co-Sponsors the FDCA 6th Annual Florida Defense Expo
Actron was pleased to have the opportunity to be a small business sponsor and participate in the 6th annual Florida Defense Expo recently held at the Rosen Plaza Hotel and Exposition Center in Orlando, Florida on Feb 20, 2018. Actron joined other small businesses, prime contractors, and government and industry officials sharing thoughts, ideas, and capabilities regarding the important role the defense industry plays in supporting our brave war fighters and our country. Actron has been an active member in the FDCA since its inception and has participated in every Defense Expo held to date.
We had the opportunity to meet and have discussions with many industry primes such as Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, Northrup Grumman, the Boeing Company, and Embraer as well as our fellow small businesses such as EEI Manufacturing Services, McCormick-Stevenson, SmartSat, and others.
In addition to industry representatives and several informative panels of experts discussing the current state of the defense industry in Florida, a well-represented, bipartisan group of members of the US House of Representatives including the Honorable(s) Charlie Crist, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Darren Soto, John Rutherford, Stephanie Murphy, and Mario Diaz-Balart. All of these representatives expressed the importance of maintaining a healthy defense industry and ensuring the safety of American citizens.
Actron looks forward to being a part of the 7th annual defense expo in 2019.
Actron Earns Another Lockheed Special Process Approval
Actron is pleased to announce that we have established the procedures and process controls to earn another Lockheed Martin Special Process approval, this one for powder coating to MIL-PRF-24712.

Actron Attends FDCA Federal Affairs Worshop
Actron is heavily involved with the Florida Defense Contractors Association and we pride ourselves on being sponsors for many of the events. On June 26, 2017, Actron was represented by one of its employees at the FDCA Federal Affairs Workshop in Washington D.C. This workshop was full of helpful information presented by members of the Florida Congressional delegation, Trump Administration Leadership, Industry Leaders, Contracting and Federal Budget experts. Some of the important topics that were discussed included defense industrial base issues, updates on budget trends, and enhancements in technology.
