Actron recently added a new HAAS VF-11 milling machine to improve our capability to machine large, aluminum plates. This machine is equipped with a touch probe, directional coolant nozzles, hi-speed machining, a 4th axis attachment, and boasts a whopping 120” x 40” x 30” work envelope! This allows Actron to effectively compete for larger electronic cabinet sides, doors and bases and other aluminum plate and casting machining. The touch probe enables quicker and more accurate set-ups and the tool offset probe facilitates lights out machining, enlarging our productive capacity by allowing the machine to continue running at the end of the day unattended. Send us prints of your larger aluminum parts and let us demonstrate our new milling capabilities on your products.

Hurricane Irma Update
We felt it important to post an update regarding Actron, our employee’s and families, and the current situation in regards to the post Irma conditions. I am very happy to report that none of our employee’s or their families suffered any injuries during or after the storm. Although many of our employees suffered some losses due to wind, rain, and power outages, all in all we came thru this in good shape. Quite a few people left the area and others chose to remain, but we are all present and accounted for at this time. The Actron facilities suffered no damage at all and as of 9/13 when power was restored, we are 100% back up and operational. We are very fortunate that the storm took the path that it did and we want to thank the concern and well wishes received from our customers and employees during this stressful time. Our great team is working extra hours to make sure that as few of our customers as possible suffer any supply interruptions as a result of this storm. As always, we are here to answer any questions or concerns that you might have regarding your orders.

Actron Attends FDCA Federal Affairs Worshop
Actron is heavily involved with the Florida Defense Contractors Association and we pride ourselves on being sponsors for many of the events. On June 26, 2017, Actron was represented by one of its employees at the FDCA Federal Affairs Workshop in Washington D.C. This workshop was full of helpful information presented by members of the Florida Congressional delegation, Trump Administration Leadership, Industry Leaders, Contracting and Federal Budget experts. Some of the important topics that were discussed included defense industrial base issues, updates on budget trends, and enhancements in technology. The attendees were able to have Q&A with top level officials and discuss current events. We look forward to sharing more news with you so come back soon and take a look at what’s new at Actron!
